CAS Mix-Up March and CAS(E) This Sketch #311

The CAS Mix-Up challenge sounded like a lot of fun and I couldn't wait to try faux stained glass.  They have several videos on the blog with a couple of different ways to accomplish this look.  I wanted to do the outline kind and wasn't sure I had any dies that would work until I ran across Doodle Flowers from WPlus9.  I don't remember ordering this or why I would but it worked for this challenge.
I cut a stitched square and added some Distress Ink.  The flowers were colored with Distress Inks and glued to the cut, then the outline was layered four times and filled with Glossy Accents.  The upper panel is popped up with foam.  I decided to make this an Easter card because it looked like Spring and I'm going to be needing sixteen or so Easter cards.  It includes stamping, die cutting, watercoloring and the faux stained glass.

I kept looking at CAS(E) This Sketch trying to decide that I could do for their challlenge and then I looked at this card sitting on my desk and thought, "Well, why not."  Here's their sketch.
Had I thought about it earlier I would have centered the stitched panel.

Thanks for dropping by.

You found a perfect die from your stash for this technique, Bobby! This is so fun and pretty! Love the glossy, bright flowers. Light blue sponged background sky and the stitched (inside and outside) frames are a really nice touch. Thanks for joining us at CAS Mix Up!
