Where is the summer going? It's August already and time for another The Flower Challenge.
I'm not a big embellishment user but it was fun finding a die set that I could design using them.

This challenge at Time Out is to be inspired by your favorite song.
I'm not sure I have any one favorite song and I had to go with something that I have the stamps/dies for so this is what I came up with.
It's time for another Pick Two at Time Out.
A pick two means you need to take at least two of the words listed in the banner and use them on your card. I went with spots, floral and pastel.
I was itching to use a die set I purchased on sale from Spellbinders a while ago and made it work for the challenge at Color Throwdown.
This is Simon Hurley's Floral Stag, all die cut in colored cardstock including an orange flower, cranberry poinsettia and moss greens. Thank goodness for neutrals or this wouldn't work at all. 😉 The sentiment is from PFS.
Thanks for dropping by. Have a great weekend.
It's Word Week at Just Us Girls and our host Carol M has chosen
There are so many ways to do a frame on a card. For me it was hot foiling.
The Design Team and our guest designer Bonnie Klass have plenty of inspiration for you on the blog. We hope you will make a frame card and enter it into our gallery.
With all my posies and a great basket die from PTI I just had to make a card for Double D.
Thanks for dropping by.
As a lover of polka dots, I had to make a card for Double D.
I have this bright colored paper and didn't write down whose it was. I think it was a gift with order. I love the large polka dots and didn't want to cover them up so I heat embossed EbyE Mondo Sakura on vellum. The sentiment is from Altenew stamped in purple.
Thanks for dropping by. Stay safe and keep crafting.
May the 4th be with you! 😊
It is the 4th of May and time for the next The Flower Challenge.
It's Color Week at Just Us Girls and Ina has a bright color way for us.
My first thought was Halloween. 😀 But then I remembered the pumpkin die from Honey Bee and that started the ball rolling. It's basically an all Honey Bee card.
Cut from orange cardstock, I used detail brushes to add more orange to the debossed ribs. A slit was cut in the top so I could add my die cut flowers, one from Spring Greenery and two from Autumn Bouquet, cut in white and colored with a variety of inks. Arranging was the difficult part but once they were all taped inside the pumpkin, they were glued or pop dotted down onto the Burlap embossing folder.
I'd like to welcome Colleen Begley as our guest designer this month. Colleen and the rest of the Design Team have some wonderfully colorful cards to inspire you. We hope you'll join us in the gallery.
Hey there friends. I'm so glad you dropped by.
Are you ready for another Time Out challenge? This should be an easy one.
We are being sponsored by Lawn Fawn and the winner of the challenge will receive a $25 store credit.
How will you include stripes on your card. For plenty of wonderful inspiration, please check out what the Design Team has made.
I was lucky enough to have my card be one of the top picks for the last Inkspirational challenge. You can see that card here. Today I have one for their newest challenge - use stencils.
There is a photo challenge at Time Out this week.
I had another idea when I first saw the photo but once I got the stamp set out I changed my mind.
We are celebrating over at Just Us Girls. It's our 700th challenge and to thank our loyal followers there will be prizes. The winning card will receive a prize from our host Lisa K and some of the design team members will have a prize for one of their US commenters, including me. (See below) That is double the incentive to make a card and comment on each team member.
This challenge is for Color Week and here are the colors.
This is the prize for one of my commenters that will be randomly drawn on Thursday evening after the challenge closes. Friday's Just Us Girls post will list all the prize winners in addition to the Chic of the Week. Simon Says Stamp Hedge Berries embossing folder and coordinating die.
There are some wonderful card makers who share techniques, design elements and their inspiration cards over at Group of Seven Cardmakers. This month the technique is "Off the Edge" and I have a card to share in their gallery.
Lisa E is our host at Just Us Girls this week and she has an enticing moodboard for us. Take a look.
Here's a bigger picture. You definitely should be able to find something that tickles your creativity. If you need inspiration, you can always find plenty on the blog where the Design Team and our guest Kristin have wonderful cards for you to see. Here's mine.
I hope we see you in our gallery.
I don't know what's gotten into me. I normally have trouble with color challenges but this is the third time in four weeks that I've played at Color Throwdown. Last week I was guest designer.
I looked over my floral stamps trying to decide what to do for the Color Hues challenge, not finding anything I was happy with. Then a new order came and I saw the possibilites.
