Seize the Birthday #161 and Day of the Month Card Club

The dots and stripes of the Seize the Birthday topping option had me intrigued and so I had to make a card.
I love black and white with pops of color so I pulled out some old, old black and white papers for the main part of the card.  To separate the stripes and dots I used a PTI die in layers of white.  For the color I used my Zigs on WPlus9 Doodlebuds.

There's a new challenge in town called Day of the Month Card Club that was started by Cornelia and a couple of her friends.  The theme is "I want you to be happy".  This card makes me happy and wishes the recipient a happy birthday.

ETA: I had also planned to send this card to Time Out who is celebrating their 5th birthday and have an "Inspired By Words" theme.  I forgot until I was half way to my daughter's.  Fortunately I have my Chromebook with me and can edit my post.  Happy Birthday, Time Out!  Thanks for providing us with such a fun challenge and wonderful Design Team inspiration all these years.

Thanks for dropping by.  Have a great weekend.

What a fun and festive birthday card, Bobby. I always love it when I see you use those Doodlebuds flowers. Your coloring is so vibrant and pretty, and the black and white make a nice backdrop. So glad you remembered about our challenge at Time Out and so were able to join us at our birthday party.

Some of our favourite stylised blooms, Bobby ... and they're gorgeous in these luscious jewel colours ... they're so eyecatching against the black and white! So pleased you had your chromebook with you ... wouldn't have wanted to miss having this fabulous card in our gallery at Time Out! Thanks so much for playing along with us for our 5th birthday celebration! Hugs, Anita :)

A black background makes those colors really pop! And quite a fun mix of different patterns! Maybe it will be the next trend - I just started to work on a black background card myself....Love those doodle flowers! Thank you so much for linking up with us at the Card of the Month Card Club, Bobby. You made me happy!

Dear Bobby! I have your card immediately noticed. I love strong colorful colors on a black background. They make your card very lively and cheerfully. A magical idea. Thank you for sharing.
