Yesterday's post said it had been a while since I played in that particular challenge. It's been even longer since I've played in the Fusion challenge. I've come to find that if inspiration doesn't come quickly I'm better off forgetting the challenge. If I force something I rarely like the finished product. When I zoomed in on the Fusion photo something caught my eye and this is the resulting card.
Did you see that little black vase with the white flowers in it sitting on the desk? Here's my interpretation of it. While the ones in the photo appeared to be orchids, my similar stamp set was too big to fit inside a vase on an A2 card. I could have made a tall card I guess but used this portion of Altenew's snapdragon stamp instead. I also have the Altenew Versatile Vases (NBUS until now) but needed a way to make one. I don't like to have stamped and watercolored items in the same vignette. I know. Call me crazy. So I just die cut the vase from black, stamped it in white with a SU crackle stamp and triple heat embossed it with clear. I also didn't have a sympathy sentiment the right size so I put together one from CASual Fridays. The image is really out of proportion but I still like it.
Thanks for dropping by. I love it when you do.

I would never call you crazy! But your card is crazy cool! I really like that crackled vase, Bobby. Cannot wait to borrow those snapdragons - or buy a bunch of my own! Come ON Spring!

Gorgeous monochrome, Bobby ... the black vase is so striking and bold ... and contrasts wonderfully with the delicate white blooms ... a dramatic beauty! Hugs, Anita :)
Bobby your pot is just fantastic!! So cute!
Bravo! Your ingenuity made for a great vase, and your flowers are perfect. Also amazing? The fact that you picked up on that itty bitty flower & vase on the desk!
Hi Bobby! I don't think your image is out of proportion at all! I love the texture on the vase and your flowers are gorgeous! How clever you are to notice the tiny vase and flowers on the inspiration photo...you rock, my friend! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Fusion!
