Maria is our host and she chose this for Just Us Girls Photo Week.
I was really tempted to use my mondo daisy that was sitting on my desk but since I used it for another challenge I went a different way. See that bright red poppy in the lower left corner? And another one peeking through? That's what inspired me.
Isn't this a great poppy stamp? It's from PB and I painted them with Altenew watercolors. An Altenew sentiment was heat embossed on vellum so it wouldn't hide any of them.
What inspires you in the photo? Check out the Design Team and our guest designer Cornelia to see how they interpreted it. If you enter a card in our challenge you may have a chance to be a future guest designer.
I am a huge fan of poppies and your card is a sheer delight!
ReplyDeleteYou can't go wrong with poppies IMO! Love how the deep red of the flowers plays off the blue background!

ReplyDeleteAnother of my favourite blooms, Bobby ... these are just beautiful ... just like the ones we have popping up all over the place at the moment! Hugs, Anita :)

ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I'm so intimidated by watercoloring. I'll have to practice more!
ReplyDeleteStunning poppies, Bobby! Love that you narrowed your focus and wound up with this work of art! Apologies for my pathetic commenting...just too frazzled with all the uncertainly that's going on, from the pandemic, to the Nova Scotia shootings and now, to the military helicopter crash that saw yet more Canadians die. Sad heart.
