After seeing some of the other entries for Color Throwdown, I hesitated on actually posting my card. I spent time getting the C9 turnabout to do what I wanted and then ruined it by cutting apart the sentiment. No matter what I did, I couldn't get it to look straight. I mean even my T ruler is crooked warped. Well it is a handmade card after all so here goes.
Thanks for taking a look. I thought I'd make more of these since the turnabouts make it easy and I do have two more backgrounds with the colors in different ways but they're headed for the recycle bin. I'll try again later. I also did the sentiment on vellum which made them straighter but the sand embossing powder looked more like gold and the required color is kraft. I'm glad I didn't struggle with all the cards I made yesterday.

ReplyDeleteThere's not one thing wrong with those fun little sentiment strips - they are meant to be fun, so 'off kilter' isn't even a problem, in my view, Bobby!
ReplyDeleteThose turn-about stamps sure can be tricky - I think the jib is the only way to perfect them. Wish I'd remember to put them in my cart!

DeleteI take my hat off to you for even trying to do this little word strips! There isn't a ruler made that can get things straight for me! It looks to me like you've got your words straighter than I ever could and that background is fabulous!
