Color Hues #17

Red and orange.  That a bright and cheery color combination and one that Color Hues wants us to use on our cards.  I aim to please.

I just had to have this three layer stencil from The Greetery and only used it once so thought it was time to get it out again.  It was inked using Distress Inks: first layer Crackling Campfire, second Carved Pumpkin and the third a lighter version of the first.  No need to tell me the darkest color should be the overlap.  I just didn't plan the colors well but I loved the results so I carried on. A couple of die cut flowers layered up and a sentiment on an Altenew label die was all I needed to finish it off.

Very pretty. Love how you used the colors in the stencils. The white die cut flowers are perfect on that background. TFS

My Square Dance stencil is sitting here unused. It is just fabulous in reds and oranges, and you're inspiring me to get going with it! It's a perfect backdrop to the lovely die cut. Thanks for joining us at Color Hues!

This is AWESOME Bobby!! I have only played with this stencil twice and didn't get it lined up quite right either time, but I absolutely LOVE the way yours came out...I thought you had weaved strips at first! And the simple die cut and sentiment are just perfect to go with your bold background! Wonderful card my friend!! Hugs. :0)
