CAS Mix-Up September 2022

I've had my card for CAS Mix-Up done for a while but have been posting other things.  Now time is running out so I'd better get it to their gallery.

I spread gesso through a Pretty Pink Posh stencil on dark green cardstock.  When it was dry, I put the stencil back in place and colored it with Altenew inks.  To add a little sparkle, I used some silver foundry wax on the end of the leaves.  It looks like snow in the photo but it's shiny IRL.  A SSS stitched square was cut from a white A2 panel, the sentiment from Colorado Craft Company heat embossed in silver and the gesso panel added behind.

I really enjoy all the techniques the CAS Mix-Up team introduces us too.  Thank you Design Team for making your challenge fun and educational.

How wonderful to see you in the CAS Mix Up gallery this month. Thank you for joining our gesso and stencils challenge. This is such a lovely example of how you can get vibrant colours by using gesso on coloured cardstock. I love the effect. Thanks for the Christmas card inspiration too

LOVE your Gesso'd stenciled leaves over the dark green cardstock, Bobby. Then stenciling again with your lighter green inks. Love your added silver shine on your leaves and CAS card design. So pleased you joined us at CAS Mix Up. You have me inspired to try this Gesso technique. Love and Hugs...nancy
