Color Throwdown #783

Hey there.  I'm so glad you dropped by.

The soft colors of the challenge at Color Throwdown spoke to me, especially after seeing a card on Pinterest that used a once favorite older set from SSS.  I thought I saved it to give reference but I guess not.

Artful Flowers were stamped on watercolor paper and colored with Worn Lipstick Distress Ink.  The background was colored with Bundled Sage DI and covered with an Altenew striped plate cut in GinaK ivory.  I couldn't let those off cuts go to waste so I made a second card.

The cuts are glued to an Ocean Tide panel and layered on an ivory card base.  This time the flowers were stamped using CP Pink Champagne and arranged left to right.  A little spritzing added some interest.  A darker color way gives an entirely different feel to this card.

Have a great week!

Inspired By - Sitting Pretty

I was inspired by the colors in the photo at Inspired By.  And what do I usually use to make my cards?  Why flowers of course.
These Artful Flowers from SSS used to be one of my favorites but they've been neglected of late.  I white heat embossed them on Bristol and colored them in the photo colors with Zigs.  To make the background I used my NBUS shiplap stencil from HoneyBee, also inking around the edges with Hickory Smoke DI.  The sentiment is from EbyE.

Have a great day and thanks for dropping by.
