Freshly Made Sketches #749

Today's card is for Freshly Made Sketches based on a sketch by Jen B.

I bought this SSS Wonky Tree die a few years ago when I was at CREATE.  I may have made one or two cards with it last year but I had it with me and decided it would work great with the design and to add to my Christmas stash.  I pulled out a bunch of cardstock scraps and cut each of the three tree sections in every color.  That way I could play around putting them together and end up with extra trees.  The glitter strip is from Altenew's Moonstone and the silver embossed sentiment is from Pinkfresh Studio.

I put the extras all on one card.

I'll add a sentiment when I have access to one I think will fit across the bottom and put the panel on a card base.

Thanks for dropping by and spending a bit of your day with me.

Seize the Birthday #319

The topping at Seize the Birthday is 'rainbow of colors'.  I watched Therese Calvird's video about rainbow colored flowers and then saw the one my friend Marcia made and had to try it.

The stencil is Elegant Rose from SSS, colored with Altenew inks.  I trimmed the panel down with a SSS stitched square, mounted it on Altenew Moonstone glitter cardstock and then onto my card base.  The unbranded sentiment die is from the same paper.  Do you think you'd like to try making a rainbow flower?

Thanks for dropping by and spending a bit of your day with me.

Jingle Belles - Banner Inspiration

The gals at Jingle Belles would like to see cards based on their blog banner and I was happy to oblige.

The background was watercolored with Evergreen Bough Distress Ink.  Once dry, I used the BetterPress Season's Greetings Evergreens and the same ink for the first pressing.  Then I pressed again using Pine Needles adding some splatters with the same ink.  The snow is Altenew's metallic watercolor.  The sentiment is "merry" from Penny Black cut in Altenew moonstone and a stamped "Christmas" from PTI.

Thanks for dropping by and spending a little bit of your day with me.  I hope your Thanksgiving was blessed with fine food, family and friends.
