CAS Mix-Up June 2021

I have already entered a card at CAS Mix-Up that I actually made for another challenge.  I had in mind something else so I have a second card for their 'watercolor - flight' challenge

A dragonfly is a symbol of change, transformation and self-realization.
It teaches us to love life, to rejoice and have faith even amidst difficulties.

I recently purchased this dragonfly stamp/die from Hero Arts which includes the sentiment.  Truth be told I actually got it for this challenge but also because I love dragonflies and their symbolism.   The background is acetate smooshing with Catherine Pooler inks and the dragonfly is colored with the same ink.

Thanks for dropping by.

Seize the Birthday #200

I'm always up for a party so when Seize the Birthday announced their 200th challenge I just had to join in.  We are to use their challenge graphic as inspiration for our cards.  Mine didn't come out as I imagined it but I'm posting it anyway.

I did acrylic smooshing across the card with Distress Inks in the graphic colors and then placed the SSS package outline over it.  A similar font for the sentiment comes from PTI.

Happy Birthday Seize the Birthday!  Here's to many more!!

AAA Cards #167

I haven't played with AAA Cards in a while, and I often shy away from one-layered cards but I had an inspiration after seeing their challenge photo.
I decided to do a little acetate smooshing on a set by Altenew.
This is very loose coloring and another thing I shy away from but I really like how this turned out.

Thanks for dropping by.
