Less Is More #274

Yay!  Less Is More is asking us to use designer paper (in a CAS style) on our cards.  If you're like me, you have tons of it and love any excuse to use it.
The paper is from American Crafts and I put a smidgen behind a PTI Polaroid die cut and used another piece to cut the matching cup from YNS. The embossing folder picks up on the little flowers on some of the cups.

Have a wonderful mid-week day.

Merry Monday #188

I'm doing good so far on getting my Christmas cards started with Merry Monday.  This week the challenge is warm beverages.  One of my favorites is hot cranberry cocktail.  Or apple cranberry.  Either one is delicious.
I found this paper in an old Christmas pad by American Crafts and just happened to have a mug that matched from SSS.  The happy wishes are from Essentials by Ellen cut from another paper from the pad.  You can see my cranberry juice filled to the top.

Thanks for dropping by. I hope all of you in the path of the storm called Jonas are keeping safe and warm.

Holiday Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

I bought a stamp set from Your Next Stamp just so I'd have something to make cards for the Coffee Lovers Blog Hops.  I didn't realize the cups were quite so small but hey, they work.
I started by using the cup with Dazzle VersaMark to make a background on Neenah Desert Storm.  That's when things got muddled.  I tried a number of different things for the focal image and paper and made a mess of my desk until I came up with this, using a variety of scraps, a MCS border die and white embossing powder.  That coffee looks pretty darn strong to me but I had to cover up the print on the paper.  ;)

Thanks for dropping by.

The Challenge #51

Does't this look good?
You can take anything from this photo to make your card for The Challenge but I went with the actual cups of hot chocolate.
My Fabric Weave ef is perfect for the cloth in the background.  On that I placed a SSS frame that is stamped with the little cups from my new stamp set from Your Next Stamp.  I painted them with Distress Ink and put a little Pico Embellisher on the marshmallows.

This looks so good I think I'll go make a cup right now and prepare for the snowstorm that's headed our way.  Have a great weekend.

CTS #107

I loved a lot of the cards I saw in the gallery at CAS(E) This Sketch but it took a while for me to find some dies that I could use to enter the challenge.  Here's the sketch.  You can see how cute it is.

The mug and steam (yes, that silly little image above the mug is steam) are from SSS's Warm Wishes and the cup and sentiment are from SSS's Garden of Succulents.

Hmmm, my copy and paste wouldn't work for the link to the challenge.  I had to type it manually.  Has anyone else had this problem?

Thanks for stopping by.  You visits and comments are really appreciated.
