CAS(E) This Sketch #346
It's a gnome kind of Christmas so I'm breaking out my NBUS set from RC for my card for CAS(E) This Sketch.
I used the rest of the C9 plaid piece from this card and a die cut from PTI to frame my gnomes. The sentiment was cut from MFT letters.

Addicted to CAS #158
Toni is our host for this challenge at Addicted to CAS
and here is her code word.
Most of the ideas I had were not CAS cards so I had to do a little searching through my stamps. Here's what I came up with.I have a Technique Tuesday set that includes the sun stamp and the sentiment. I stamped the sun in yellow and clear heat embossed it. The horizon was masked and inked with Distress Inks, then the panel placed behind the PTI Polaroid die.
What does your mind conjure up for the word 'Horizon'? Need inspiration? Check out what the Design Team has for you over on the blog. We'd like to see your card in the gallery.

Inkspirational #124
The challenge at Inkspirational this time is 'Neutrals Only' and I had a NBUS stamp set that was perfect for it.
I won the MFT Polar Bear stamps but I'm not sure how. Ardyth sent me an email to say I won and sent me the set but I can't find what challenge I won that offered a prize. I am grateful however and I love the set. I stamped the bear on Bristol and colored him with Zigs. He's behind a Polaroid frame by PTI with sentiments by CF/SOA. This is going off to my sister-in-law whose birthday is January 1. With all the Christmas goings on I often have to send her a belated card. Not this year.
Thanks for taking time out of your busy schedule to drop by.

Fusion - Port of Call
I made a card for Fusion and then totally forgot to post it. I'm glad it's not too late.
I did a true fusion this time and the deciding factor was the anchor button I found while cleaning out my button stash. The bottom portion is Distress Ink through a stencil with a strip also inked with Blueprint Sketch to match. Some Pure Poppy cut with PTI's Polaroid and a sentiment from Penny Black finish every thing off.
Crafting has been slow around here. I hope you're having better luck finding time to create.

Less Is More #274
Yay! Less Is More is asking us to use designer paper (in a CAS style) on our cards. If you're like me, you have tons of it and love any excuse to use it.
The paper is from American Crafts and I put a smidgen behind a PTI Polaroid die cut and used another piece to cut the matching cup from YNS. The embossing folder picks up on the little flowers on some of the cups.
Have a wonderful mid-week day.

Merry Monday #190 and Inkspirational #101
Whilst perusing some card challenges I saw the word Polaroid on the Stamping Smiles Tic-Tac-Toe board and remembered that I bought the PTI Polaroid die a long time ago and never used it. I made two cards with it, neither of them eligible for the TTT challenge. :( First up is one for Merry Monday. You are to use a Santa and would you believe I only have one Santa stamp, and a little one at that.
Santa is part of a snow globe set by YNS and I colored him with Distress Inks. I inked up the MFT brick stencil and tore a piece of white paper to act as snow on my chimney top. The sentiment is also from MFT.
Inkspirational had this lovely photo for their inspiration.
After ink smooshing some watercolor paper, I die cut and edged it with gold embossing. The love from SSS is three layers with the top one stamped with the W & W wood panel. I wanted the same gold for the heart so it is embossed and placed where I cut the 'O' out. If you notice some dimension on the heart it's because I first embossed a floral design on white but didn't like it and rather than start over I just embossed over it. I quite like the results. The texture in the background is from PTI's linen texture plate.
Thanks for dropping by and I hope your weekend is going well.

I loved that frame behind the love board and used my Polaroid to get the same feel.
