CASology #265

The word this week at CASology is

Since both my daughter and granddaughter are art teachers, I had to do something that shows the importance of art education.

I stamped the easel from PS, added the words from WPlus9 and some Distress Ink for color.  Like the saying goes, the earth without art is 'eh'.

Thanks for dropping by.

CAS(E) This Sketch #131

What do you think of this sketch?  Quite different, huh?  It took me a while to think of something but I'm loving the card I made for this week's CAS(E) This Sketch.

I used the easel from PS to place my sentiment on the white card base, then added a bunch of paint splatters from several different stamp sets.

Thanks for stopping by.  I love it when you visit and leave a comment.

CAS(E) This Sketch #124

I must admit that this challenge from CAS(E) This Sketch had me . . . . well . . . . challenged.  Then when I got out my Masterpiece set from PTI to make a card for their blog hop, I saw it.  The perfect "out-of-the-paint-box" image.

The easel legs aren't parallel like the sketch but there are three of them.  I double layered, double embossed it in Platinum and used a stamp by Hero Arts for my sentiment, masking it to stamp in two colors.  That went right the first time, much to my surprise. :D

I signed up for this online card class at the last minute and here's a card from the first day's lesson.

I'm not crazy about my flower placement but I do love the concept and it was great to pull out my WPlus stamp set. The sentiment is NBUS from Stamplorations.

Thanks for stopping by to visit.
