Time Out #173 and Seize the Birthday #202

I finally had a chance to use my Funky Fossil Mandela stencil making a card for the Time Out challenge.

I started with a piece of patterned paper and applied Nuvo Expanding Mousse through the stencil.  When you heat it, it does just what it says.  Expands.  I hope you can see the dimension.

Since Seize the Birthday is looking for texture, I decided to turn this into a birthday card by cutting a small circle and heat embossing the SSS sentiment.

Freshly Made Sketches #387

Freshly Made Sketches gave me the opportunity to use a new product.  Nuvo Expanding Mousse.

I die cut my own stencil using a tag from SSS and applied the mousse, heating it right away.  They say you get a different result if you let it dry first but I was in a hurry to get this finished and ready to post.  I just happened to have the two leaf cuts in with the Poppystamps die and thought they looked good together with mousse color.  The trimmed panel was added to some Desert Storm after stamping the HA sentiment in PTI Kraft.
