Group of Seven card two

I was inspired by Bonnie's card using Penny Black's Reds and Greens die to make another card for the die cut background technique at Group of Seven Cardmakers.  The die was new to her but I've had it a long time and haven't used it lately.

The ones for the background were cut from Hammermill paper and glued to a Hammermill panel which is a lighter weight cardstock than the PTI that I regularly use and what constitutes my card base.  The colored one was cut from watercolor paper, painted with Distress Inks and added to a PFS label that was stamped with a sentiment from PTI.

These ladies have so many unique ideas for different ways to step up your card making.  I can't wait to see what they present us with next.

Group of Seven Cardmakers Technique for November 2024

Why I never think to use the 'faux' embossing technique is beyond me.  It is so easy and gives a great look to your backgrounds, so thank you Group of Seven for highlighting this technique and reminding me of how great it is.

The Privet Die from SSS was cut multiple times from leftover Neenah that is a lighter weight cardstock than what I usually use so the card didn't get too thick.   To decorate it, I used Honey Bee's Winter Birds, Winter Greenery and Let Nature Sing sentiment.   I have another card in the works that I will add to the gallery when it's finished.  Like I said, it's easy and there are so many different dies that can be used.

Thanks for dropping by.
