Color Hues #122

Silver and Teal.  What a beautiful combination for a Color Hues challenge.  And for a Christmas card.

It all started with the PFS Ornaments hot foil plate in silver.  The ornaments are stenciled using Altenew Aqualicious and Teal Cave and Lisa Horton silver.  Then it was decision time for the background.  I used Spellbinder's Evergreen folder, inking it with the silver to deboss the leaves.  Recollections silver was added for a border and hanging strips and a panel edge was inked with  Aqualicious for another border.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set.

Thanks for dropping by and spending a little bit of your day with me.

Inkspirational #328

I have another card made with the PFS ornaments that had been colored last year.  This one is for Inkspirational - Layer It!

The gray background was embossed with Spellbinders Evergreen and Penny Black's Classy Frames layered onto it three times with the top one in silver.  The center was inserted back in for a backdrop for the ornaments and the branch from TH.  The silver embossed sentiment from PFS is also layered for dimension.

Thanks for dropping by.  I hope your week goes well.

Color Hues #98

The other day I posted a card made with ornaments from Pinkfresh Studio that had been stenciled last year and left in the package.  You can see that card here.  There were more finished ornaments that I think work well for the Color Hues challenge.

They had been foiled in red and stenciled with Altenew grays.  I added red thread to hang them on a black card base embossed with a snowflake coverplate from C9 but it doesn't show up well in the photo.  The foiled sentiment is from Simon Hurley.  Not quite your traditional Christmas colors but elegant all the same.

I'm so glad you dropped by.  I hope you'll leave a comment.

Freshly Made Sketches #608

I found a bunch of ornaments that I hot foiled last year and thought they would be perfect for the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.

Making the card was easy.  It was taking a photo that captured the gold foil that was difficult.  A flat lay just wouldn't do so I stood it on a cabinet near a window and the result was much better.  The ornaments and sentiment are from PinkFresh Studio, all on a panel that was embossed with a pine needles folder.

Thanks for taking the time to visit.  I love it when you do.

Just Us Girls #659 - Color Week

Carol M has chosen these colors for Color Week at Just Us Girls.

I had a card made and forgot the gold so I CASEd myself and made this one which I actually like a lot better.

The foiled ornaments are the negative images from PinkFresh Studio.  They are hanging from a pine branch from The Greetery made from a panel sprayed with Distress Stain.  The background is a pine branch embossing folder and the foiled sentiment is from Spellbinders.

Will you make a Christmas card with these colors?  Or do you have other ideas?  We'd love to see your card in our gallery.
