Color Hues #5

I have so many flower stamps that you'll probably see a flower every time I make a card for the Color Hues challenge.  Today is no exception.

You might call this an Altenew card.  Everything I  used except for the card base and black ink came from them. I cut the cover die in kraft and added the sentiment from Grateful Heart which is where the flower came from.  It is stamped with the first three colors in the Pocket Full of Sunshine set and the fourth color was used for the Canopy Leaves.  I can see making this in a variety of colors.

Thanks for dropping by.

Time Out #121 and Fusion - Fall Porch

I'm getting ready to head to North Carolina to help my brother and sister-in-law do some clean up after Hurricane Florence.  Before I go I had to make and schedule all my design team requirements and then I still had time to make a few cards for fun.  I made this card for Time Out but then I saw the photo at Fusion and knew it would work there too.
First I smooshed two mixed media panels with Oxides, one in yellow and green and the other in reds, oranges, greens and yellows.  When they were dry I cut the leaves from Hero Arts and heat embossed the veins in copper to match the sentiment from Catherine Pooler.  I used my trusty Press 'n Seal to pick up the leaves once I had them placed where I wanted and put tape runner on them.  It's such an easy way to keep everything together.

I plan to take some coloring along with me, especially since I know the The Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge starts today.  I got the chance to meet Kathy at MFT in September and I love her enthusiasm for coloring and for urging us to take time to color.  Even 10 minutes a day is enough and I will try to do that while I'm gone.  I don't do Copic coloring so I'm taking my PolyChromos pencils . I need the practice so that will be good.

Thanks for dropping by.  I truly am grateful for you and your visits.

CASology #315

I made another Thanksgiving card for this week's CASology.
After cutting a large circle mask, I inked up the card with Distress Inks in Rusty Hinge, Fired Brick and Wild Honey.  I accidentally sprayed some Perfect Pearls on it when I was just trying to get some water droplets because I didn't see the label on my mister but it worked out fine.  A little shimmer never hurt any card. ;)  The sentiment from CPD is stamped in Memento Rich Cocoa and heat embossed in clear.

I'm off early in the morning on another crafty adventure.  I'll tell you about it when I get back.

Time Out Reminder

I'm here to remind you of the 100th challenge at Time Out where the word is:

I think grateful and thankful are synonymous and that is what I used for my card this week.
The anemones are from WPlus9 that I masked and loosely watercolored with Distress Inks.  The sentiment is from CPD.

The Design Team has some wonderful inspiration for you over on the blog so be sure to check it out. There's still time so we hope you'll make a card and help us celebrate this challenge milestone.
