Tic Tac Toe #241

Hey there!  I'm so glad you dropped by.

Anytime a challenge asks for flowers you can be pretty sure I'll make a card.  This one's for Tic Tac Toe.

I used the bottom row: flowers, stripes or dots, and green.  I hope my Hemstitch oval counts as dots.  The Canterbury Bells are from Altenew and the sentiment is from Honey Bee.

Have a beautiful day.

The Flower Challenge #59 - Reminder

There is still time to enter a card in this month's The Flower Challenge.  We are looking for

Even though slim line cards are all the rage, I chose not to make one.

I used the layered violets from Altenew for my flowers, arranging them  around a die cut from Spellbinders. The sentiment is from WPlus9.

The Design Team has more inspiration for you over on the blog.  Our guest this month is the very talented Therese Calvird.

Rachel Vass is our sponsor and she will be providing the winner with three digital images from her shop totaling $15.  She has some fantastic florals to choose from so you won't want to miss the opportunity.

Color Throwdown #619

I recently got the Memory Box mistletoe and thought it would work great with the Color Throwdown challenge.

The mistletoe was watercolored with Zigs and placed on an SU embossed panel that was cut with a Spellbinders Hemstitch die.  I added the required red to peek through and cut the bow and TH sentiment in silver.   I just realized I didn't add the berries.  They could have been my red element although I do believe actual mistletoe berries are white.

I'm slowly but surely getting my Christmas cards done.  How about you?

Color Throwdown #614

I finally got my stamps and dies organized and am able to make cards for challenges - when the mojo strikes. lol  I loved the photo and color combination on Color Throwdown so I had to make a card for their challenge.  I'm squeaking under the wire so let's get on with it.

Kraft cardstock embossed with Altenew's Dotted Swirls serves as a background for the Hemstitch oval, the PTI sentiment and Altenew's Canterbury Bells.

Thanks so much for dropping by.  I hope to see you more often now that I'm settled.

CAS(E) This Sketch #371

I'm cutting it kind of short for my entry into the CAS(E) This Sketch challenge.  It took me until last night to come up with something that I liked.
I've been trying to use more of my patterned paper and this one caught my eye.  Well to be honest plaid always catches my eye and I thought this would be a little different.  The photo editing makes it have more of a yellowish cast but it matches the ivory cs I used for the card base and the hemstitch die cut oval.  The Altenew Weekend Doodles were stamped in brown and heat embossed in clear so I could color it with Zigs to match the colors in the plaid.  There was only room for a tiny sentiment and this one is from PB.  Good for the times I'd say.

So take care all of you visitors to my blog.  Thanks for dropping by.

The Flower Challenge #34 - Reminder

There's still time for you to play in The Flower Challenge.
For my reminder card I went with Zigs on the EbyE Mondo Wildflower.
I die cut the oval hemstitch and then decided the background needed some color so I watercolored it with Distress Ink, then added the birthday sentiment on foam tape.

Our guest designer Michelle Lupton and the rest of the Design Team have more cards for you to see over on the blog.  And don't forget that Uniko is offering a stamp set of their choosing to the winner.

We'd love to see your pretty pastels in our gallery.
