Just Us Girls #826 - Die Week

Carol is the host for Die Week at Just Us Girls and she would like to see a butterfly die used on our cards.

I'd like to welcome Kellianne from In My Stamp Room as our guest designer this month.  She has some softly colored and beautifully designed  cards on her blog that you'll want to take a peek at.

As for me, my card is fairly clean and simple.

I've had this Memory Box butterfly for quite a while.  One cuts the detail that's done in Graphic foil from C9 and the other the background that is colored with Mica Sprays in Snowflurries and Winterfrost. The same colors are on the border cut with HA Rounded Rectangles. C9's Swirls Die adds a little flight movement to the main panel.  The sentiment is from The Ton.

Now it's your turn.  For inspiration, please check out what the Design Team and our guest Kellianne have made.  They're sure to give you ideas.

Just Us Girls Challenge #788 - Word Week

What an easy word Elizabeth has chosen for Word Week at Just Us Girls

We all need birthday cards and there should be a lot of different ideas for inspiration in the gallery as well as from the Design Team.

This card is for a great grandson.  The truck is from Penny Black, colored with Altenew artist markers.  The star paper is an oldie from my stash.  The center was cut with Hero Arts rounded rectangles and that portion glued to the inside of the card. A smaller rectangle was cut from white and pieces of paper cut and folded to make it pop up.  Here's another view.

This was so much fun to make and we have a number of young great grandsons so I'll be making more with other cars and trucks.

Will we see your birthday card in our gallery?

Christmas Kickstart #48

Things are looking green over at Christmas Kickstart.

I hope my card is green enough.

I was originally going to stamp pine branches but in looking for the right ones I ran across a stamp set from The Ton that I got in a Catherine Pooler box a long time ago that I don't know if I've ever used. I stamped with Altenew inks but then added some artist marker details.  The sentiment from the same set is embossed in platinum and the panel cut with HA rounded rectangles is on PTI Pinefeather cardstock.  It felt good to make a Christmas card to add to my stash.  I should do it more often so I have enough by December.

Thanks for dropping by.
