I'm not sure what you'd call this card besides and entry into The Challenge. It started out as a woodgrain experiment from Karen's tutorial at
Snippets on how to make your own, with the colors of the challenge photo in mind. I like how it turned out for the card but it doesn't look much like woodgrain.
I added some platinum paper embossed with the Diamond Plate as a frame and also embossed the PB sentiment in platinum and colored the dots in it to match. This card is going to my husband's grandson Ryan and coincidentally it's the same colors as the quilt I made him for graduation 3 years ago.
He told me he wanted blue, orange and black and fortunately I found some fabric that spoke to his love of golf, dirt biking and tennis shoes. I forgot to take a picture of the quilt before I gave it to him so this is the only one I have.
These are also the colors in the photo inspiration.
