Freshly Made Sketches #716, Can You Handle the Pressure? and Krafty Chicks #798

I've been busy with cookie making and almost forgot about the Freshly Made Sketches challenge.  I'm glad I checked on it this morning so I could get a card made in time.

I didn't use my TH Dash Away All die at all this holiday season so I pulled it out and cut it three times in black.  Spellbinder's Cosmic Sky was cut with an MFT circle and stamped and heat embossed with their Brush Splatter Background.  That was placed on a panel embossed with an older 2D snowflake folder from Sizzix.  The sentiment is from Penny Black cut with a Sizzix banner die.

I'm also sending this to Can You Handle the Pressure? where the option is "Any Holiday" and to Krafty Chicks for their Christmas challenge.

Thanks for dropping by and spending a bit of your busy day with me.

Freshly Made Sketches #712

Although I have enough Christmas cards made for friends and family this year, it's always good to stockpile for next year.  This is my way of saying I made a Christmas card with the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches.

I gave my Festive Friend a knitted sweater from a Honey Bee paper pack.  The panel was stamped with a sentiment from C9 and partially embossed with an ancient Snowflake folder from Darice.  A little slice of Altenew Ruby Treasured Cardstock separates the two and leftover paper from an unknown pack adds more snow to the background.

I'm so glad you dropped by to see what I've been up to.

Merry Christmas to All!

I have a number of cards I made that never got posted so I thought I'd put some of them here today to wish you all a Merry Christmas.

I made several using Penny Black's Immense Joy and other PB images.

I like the JOY so much I got NOEL too.

If you need the particulars of any image or design feature, just let me know.

Have a wonderful holiday!

Inspired By #195

I'm trying to not take photos too literal when I make a card for a challenge.  It's sometimes a stretch for me but the photo at Inspired By made the stretch necessary since I didn't have a lot of choices for stamps/dies.  Here's the photo.

Let's see if you can see how I was inspired.

I saw deer, snowflakes and the color green so they go together to make my card.  It started with a snowflake embossing folder (an older one so it's not 3D).  Using my Waffle Flower A2 dies, that panel was cut down and bordered with Pinefeather cardstock which was also used for the sentiment.  The reindeer is from Essentials by Ellen and was cut once from brown and twice from cardboard.  I decided to add a little snow to the letters for a little something extra using glue and Puff embossing powder.

What do you think?  It was fun to focus on the elements of the photo and not the picutre in its entirety.  I'm training myself to do this more often.  I hope you'll drop by the challenge to see what others were Inspired By.
