Just Us Girls #326 and Seize the Birthday

Well a day late for the Time Out challenge but the card was also for two other challenges so I'm good.
I sponged the background (for Time Out) in the colors for Just Us Girls and placed the die cut from SSS on top.  That makes it clean and simple for the Seize the Birthday challenge option.

Thanks for dropping by.

Less Is More #258 and Time Out #47

With all the success I have had making cards lately, this one really gave me fits.  I think it's that one-layer thing.  I started with something else that didn't quite work, but I will salvage it and show you later.  It won't be a one layer card so I can't use it for the original challenge I had in mind which was Less is More - One Layer with Flourishes.  When the first idea didn't work, I changed course and made a card that would also fit the Time Out challenge - birthday with the optional twist of sponging.
This stamp by HA is called Flourish so what better one to use for the challenge at Less Is More.  I masked off the bottom of the card, stamped it in Memento Tuxedo Black and then sponged with three of this year's new Distress Inks, Twisted Citron, Fossilized Amber and Abandoned Coral.  A handwritten sentiment from SSS (and Kristina Werner) finishes it off.  It's not my most favorite kind of card to make but hey, it's one more in my birthday stash and an easy one if you need a card at the last minute.

I'm so glad you dropped by.
