Double D - Stripes or Dots

Double D has a Stripes and/or Dots challenge and I used both on my card.

I stamped the singer from Penny Black and colored her with Altenew artist markers.  After cutting her in an oval, she was framed in a larger oval cut from polka dot paper in my stash.  The sentiment die comes with the stamp.  I colored a scrap with the Altenew ink that matched her jacket before cutting it out.

Thanks for dropping by.  Have a good week.

Seize the Birthday #161 and Day of the Month Card Club

The dots and stripes of the Seize the Birthday topping option had me intrigued and so I had to make a card.
I love black and white with pops of color so I pulled out some old, old black and white papers for the main part of the card.  To separate the stripes and dots I used a PTI die in layers of white.  For the color I used my Zigs on WPlus9 Doodlebuds.

There's a new challenge in town called Day of the Month Card Club that was started by Cornelia and a couple of her friends.  The theme is "I want you to be happy".  This card makes me happy and wishes the recipient a happy birthday.

ETA: I had also planned to send this card to Time Out who is celebrating their 5th birthday and have an "Inspired By Words" theme.  I forgot until I was half way to my daughter's.  Fortunately I have my Chromebook with me and can edit my post.  Happy Birthday, Time Out!  Thanks for providing us with such a fun challenge and wonderful Design Team inspiration all these years.

Thanks for dropping by.  Have a great weekend.
