STB, CT #273 and My Story

Several of you commented on my recent shopping excursions and I wanted to explain.  If you just want to see my card for today, scroll down.  I'll understand.

I started scrapbooking 18 years ago when we went on mission trips with the church and I wanted to keep a record. To accent my pages, I started a collection of already colored digital images from Provocraft.  When the images I wanted didn't seem to be included, I opted for a Cricut Personal Cutter and then a larger Cricut Expression.  I was careful about buying cartridges that had images I knew I would use and have only 36. There are well over 300 of them, if you can believe that.

In searching the internet on ways to use my Cricut, I came across the ever glorious world of blogs.  I began following some that used this die cutting machine.  Then I saw what fun they were having entering their cards into weekly challenges so on May 28, 2011, I started my blog solely for that purpose.  I made a lot of mistakes and learned a lot of things along the way.

Come back tomorrow for "the rest of the story".

My husband's grandson celebrates his 21st birthday later this month and I thought this would be perfect for the challenge at Seize the Birthday with Toppings Numbers.

I used the color palette from Color Throwdown.

I think Connor will like this.

Thanks for stopping by and  I hope you come back.

Great guy card. Love the colors, the stars; and the numbers are the "star" of the card. Thanks for sharing at Seize the Birthday.

This is fabulous. I love the stars, and, of course, those tipped tops dies. I am so glad you discovered die cuts, aren't you?

Well, I read your story backwards, but it was entertaining all the same. I actually used my Cricut last week, and was happy with what came out of it. The angles on your card really lend themselves to a masculine theme ... it all goes together well.

I'm glad you joined blogland and consider you a friend - even though I worry I might walk right past you if we were walking down the same street at the same time!!
