Can you guess what challenges it's for? The Card Concept and Time Out.
The butterfly is a Cricut cut (I just ordered a butterfly die that I wish I'd had for this challenge.) I hid the contours on the image and after embossing it with Verdigris embossing powder, I inlaid the original in the card front. Then I cut again with all the contours, embossed that image with gold and glued it over the other. The sentiment from CASual Friday is stamped in Delicata gold. I guess all that shimmer and shine qualifies it as a Classy and Elegant card for the Card Concept, although it is clean, too.

Today is my Dad's birthday.

Yesterday was my great grandson's birthday and I didn't have a picture of the card but my granddaughter sent it to me.
Distress Inks on the large dot stencil makes the background. The balloons are from Simon Says Stamp cut from photo paper and inked, giving them a gloss.

Oh, yay, HERE's the red/blue/yellow card! LOVE your distress inked background and the real strings you used for the balloons. It will look wonderful in his baby book : )

Anyway, I LOVE your first card. Clean and crisp and the gold and green glitter look so classy together. Great shine without being excessive.
