Why is is when you do a trial of your card layout it comes out perfectly but then you do the actual card and it takes three or four tries to get it right? I was going to show you my trial but then you could compare it to the finished project and say you liked the trial better.
Finally completed card for Just Us Girls - balloons.
And lest you think there weren't problems with this card, wrong. The idea was to stamp the balloons without masking to make them look transparent. Some got too dark but the one on the left looked really bad so out came the die cut and a new balloon was popped up on top. Truth be told, I'd planned to pop one up, just not there. ;) To that balloon I added a real string and tied it to the Poppystamp 'celebrate' die cut from polka dot paper with 2 layers underneath.
I'm so glad you dropped by.

REally a celebration of your quick fix, and darling popped up balloon, Bobby! I had a great day in Traverse City ... thanks for the tip!

Gotta love those sweet beautiful yellow balloons, so fun and extremely festive too!
I would never have know you didn't plan this card just like this! I love it! The real string adds even more texture and fun!
So fun, Bobby ... I'd never have known you had some 'challenges' with this card after doing a mock-up (happens to me most of the time!) ... it's fabulous, fun and I love the dimension with the popped up balloon and string! Hugs, Anita :)
My efforts at balloon cards are always fraught with challenges, be it ink issues or my inability to make a balloon bouquet! Your card truly is fabulous! The pop-up with the string: talk about an impressive design innovation!
