Card #1 is for CAS(E) this sketch.
I went back to my Fabulous Finds cartridge (I think I called it Fantastic Finds the other day, the name of a consignment shop I used to frequent). I cut out these cute charms and embellished them with a pearl, glossy accents and a glitter paint I've had forever. The chain is a die from poppystamps and the paper from Authentique. I have to say I learned my lesson on this one. I know to stamp first and add the paper later, just in case. Well I didn't do that and the "just in case" happened. The stamp smeared. I had to gently peel the charms off, which had been stuck down with glue dots. They survived but the chain broke and the paper strip wouldn't come off but those were easily replaceable. I didn't want to have to redo the charms, too. I ended up printing the sentiment with the computer to avoid any other mishaps.
Card #2 is for CASE Study.
Isn't this a happy little card? - no pun intended. The candles are cut from Straight from the Nest in a striped scrap. The flames are a glitter paper. I printed the "birthday" on the computer BEFORE adding the candles and word. See, I said I learned my lesson. ;)
Thanks for stopping by. Enjoy your day and maybe I'll see you back here tomorrow.

Both birthday cards are fun! Don't you just hate it when the darn ink smears?!! Makes me want to cuss. But you've remedied it nicely. Love the die-cut happy on card #2. Nicely done! Bev
Both these cards are really cute. Love your take on the sketches.
Bobby, the mag/card holder is from the Silhouette store #41763. I just cut it with the white cardstock from Walmart. It cuts all the trim pieces, too. No measuring. Yea!
You are right--we are thinking in the same way for this challenge. I swear I did not copy you! Love how you put a die cut word over your candle--and that happy looks perfect.
Love your case study card! Smart idea placing the die cut sentiment over your images.
Lovely card, colours work well together. Hugs Bev x
Great cards! I need to try some of these CASE challenges. They look fun!
Your bits and pieces comment about your desktop made me smile. I love that you brought your blog name in!!
