CTS #111 and AAA #33

Today's card is for  CAS(E) This Sketch turned sideways.

I used a Penny Black stamp embossed in gold and it's matching die for the Poppies.  Then I colored the flowers with Hydrus watercolor and the stems with Peeled Paint DI. That was easier than trying to mix a good green from the colors in my set.  A background strip from Fresh Squeezed Stamps in Antique Linen makes the band.  I played around with a number of things for the sentiment and ended up rubbing Delicata Ink directly to paper and stamping a HA sentiment with Peeled Paint.

Because my poppies are orange, I'm also sending this to AAA Cards.

Now for my twofer.  I decided I  should make a second card whenever possible to build up my stash, especially of get well/prayer cards.

For this one, I stamped the poppies and PS sentiment in HA Wet Cement and colored them with Distress Inks.  I looks more color coordinated IRL.

Thanks for stopping by.

Great idea to go for another card, especially since the first one turned out so well!!! Love the delica gold rubbed directly on the paper. I also really enjoy the linen band you have going across. There's enough there that you know it's a band, and it serves to ground the flowers, but it's certainly not distracting and doesn't pull your attention away. Really lovely card, Bobby!
