Fusion - OTB

OTB.  That's not Off Track Betting.  It's orange, teal and brown which are the colors at Fusion this week.  See?

I don't know why, but the first thing that drew my attention was the side table shaped like an X, so I started with that and made this:

I inked the background with Peacock Feathers DI, covered it with PTI's harlequin coverplate cut from chocolate brown. To add the orange, I watercolored  flowers from Penny Black and popped them up over a vellum tag stamped and embossed with a PB sentiment.

Glad you stopped by.  Come again.

This is fabulous, Bobby! So clever to pick up the detail from the table and use that in the design. Did you cut out those flowers?! They look great against the peacock feathers background :)

Oh my gosh, such a great way to get to your final card ... the table legs! Thanks for including that detail, it's so fun to see what sparks imagination, especially when it's not so obvious like the table legs. Love this combination of colors ... the orange flowers really pop against your blue field. Thanks so much for joining the Fusion Challenge, Bobby!

I didn't even notice those x-crossed legs on the table. You've transformed them into a lovely lattice, and pairing it with those pretty orange blooms...gorgeous! So fascinating to see the various sparks that flame inspiration...
