JUGS #280

I'm just squeaking in at Just Us Girls for their burlap challenge.  I'm also cheating.  Sort of.  It didn't say you had to use real burlap.  I don't have any but I do have the MFT burlap stamp.  Next best thing IMHO.

I stamped some kraft cardstock in HA Soft Brown with the burlap stamp after cutting both layers with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangles.  The flower die is from Memory Box colored with liquid watercolor.  The watercolors were given to me by my art teacher granddaughter several years ago but I wasn't quite sure how to use them until I saw this video by Jill Foster on the Penny Black blog.  A tag by SSS with a sentiment from PB and a little "burlap" string and my "on trend" card is complete. Or as my Dad would say "Not bad for a quickly thrown together _____."  He usually said "meal" but I think card applies.  ;-)

Thanks for stopping by.

"Not bad"...ummm, nope...absolutely 'full-course' fabulous! Water-colour wonderful flowers, and oh, how they pop against your burlap background ! Clever you! I don't 'do' burlap (or ribbon...eek!), but I have a wee burlap-ish stamp that I need to remember for next time! All our recent traveling sees me missing challenges; I'm sorely in need of some crafting therapy.

So glad you 'squeezed' in your card. Love that poppy die and I use it often. Fabulous colours against your background. Nice touch with the burlap - it is there and that is all that matters lol. Thanks for joining us just in time for this weeks challenge at Just us Girls.

Love the vibrant colours against the neutral faux burlap background! The burlap stamp adds lovely texture without bulk and I love the twine too. Basically I love your card, Bobby :)
