After seeing this Bokeh watercolor video on the Splitcoaststampers newsletter, I knew what I wanted to do for the challenge at Merry Monday - Stars.
I used my Hydrus watercolors to ink up the background on watercolor paper. While it was drying, I used some star dies from SSS and PTI to cut a stencil in acetate. Using a sponge dauber and Fresh Snow ink, I colored in the stars, varying the intensity of the ink and overlapping some of them. The sentiment from Penny Black is embossed in white and the panel is mounted on blue violet cardstock. I tried a different way to photograph the card and it's not the best even with editing. The card is more vibrant IRL.
Thanks for stopping by. Your visits and comments are always appreciated. I know you appreciate getting them, too, and I hope to get around to visiting you soon.

Beautiful bokeh stars, Bobby! Love the depth you have got with the blues too. Great card :)
Yikes I almost did this myself for the challenge Bobby! I've made my first proper Bokeh attempt today but in the end I didn't use stars! Love the blues in the background and so effective for Christmas. x
I love this technique and have been wanting to try it myself. I love the shades of blue and the soft stars! This is beautiful, Bobby! Thanks for sharing it with us at Merry Monday!
This is really pretty. I love the soft subtlety of the stars. Wonderfully done.
This technique is on my list of things to try .... I love your version with the stars, great colours too. Linda xx

Starry starry night...just beautiful Bobby!
Your starry night card is lovely, Bobby! You've worked magic with this technique; one I tried for the first time, as well, this weekend. You'll see my results over at The Pink Elephant later this morning (not as pretty as yours though!).
Hugs~c
