Watercolor Blog Hop

I've been gone all weekend and I'll tell you why later on in this post, but right now I have a card I made before I left for the Watercolor Blog Hop hosted by Pretty Pink Posh.

The Penny Black image and sentiment is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Distress Inks.  To add a little more interest, I inked the SSS stencil with Old Paper to match the vase and ran it down the side.  Before I go to check out all the designers in the Hop I'll let you know where I've been.  ETA:  I'm also entering this at SSS Monday blog - Plants.

My grandson got married in Columbus, Ohio.  We drove down on Friday for the rehearsal dinner at Cooper's Hawk, where Kristin and Ryan had their first date.  Saturday was a perfect day weather wise and the wedding was absolutely beautiful. The reception was held at the Nationwide Hotel and Conference Center where we all stayed.  We had cocktails and hors d'oeuvres on the patio before a fabulous time of dining and dancing.  On Sunday, we all met for breakfast at the hotel and then went to see Ryan and Kristin's new house. I am so excited and happy for them.

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope to get around to visiting you sometime today.

Thanks for sharing the wedding photo - your grandson & bride look relaxed and happy and it sounds like was a perfect wedding weekend!

Your bouquet of the card is sweet & lovely - my watercoloring is limited to big strokes, not wonderful fine details like this :)
