Less is More is asking for our favorite flower on a one-layer card. My favorite is the daisy and what better stamp to use than Altenew's Spring Daisy.
I masked and stamped the flowers with Altenew Evening Gray and colored them with Inktense pencils. I got a little carried away with the splattering. Why did it do a little on my sample but went all over the place on the actual card? One of the mysteries of life I guess. At least it gets me into Virginia's View Challenge to use spray, mist or splatter. I'm also entering it into the Altenew Blog Hop.
I'm so glad you dropped by. Please leave a comment to let me know you were here.
Bobby, your card is beautiful with the lovely daisies, the highlight colouring and the pretty splatters. I don't think those are overdone in the least; rather, they add wonderful texture and dimension...Love this!

Gorgeous!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful daisies, Bobby - I have stamp envy! Your masking and colouring is perfect. The splatter looks great - I always struggle with how difficult it is to control to get just the 'right' effect! Thank you for playing along with us at Less is More this week :)
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful and tasteful sympathy card. The daisies have been on my wishlist for a while and you're enabling me! The splatter looks great and adds so much depth. Great card! Thanks so much for sharing with us at Less is More :)
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous and I love the splattering.
ReplyDeleteI hate when that happens - the test run does exactly what you want it to and the real thing goes a whole different direction. Ah well, this is still a beauty. Those daisies are fabulous!
ReplyDeleteWell done on this one layer, Bobby! I love the ink splatter although you think you got carried away....LOL. It looks AWESOME! One thing I do though is to cover part of the main focus up to avoid unintended splattering...hope this helps. So glad that you join the fun over Virginia’s View “Spray, Mist & Splatter” Challenge! WONDERFUL!
ReplyDeleteYour flowers are so very pretty, and I like the splattering. I am never brave like you, but I admire your splatters.
ReplyDeleteStunning daisy stamp Bobby and I love the way you used it. The splatters are a particularly nice touch. Thank you so much for playing along at Less is More.

This is a beautiful sympathy card Bobby, love the daisies!
ReplyDeleteThe daisies are beautifully arranged and I love your partial coloring, super for a sympathy card. I agree, the splatters are true mystery for me, too :)
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend, Bobby!
Beautiful! I don't even do test runs anymore, it's guaranteed that the "real" version will never live up to the tester, haha! Usually with splatters I end up with massive splodges that ruin the entire card. Your's are awesome. :-)
ReplyDeletePretty!
ReplyDeleteSo lovely, Bobby ... the detail of your colouring is fantastic ... and I love the splattering ... it's so delicate with the daisies! Hugs, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card Bobby
ReplyDeleteSo very sweet and pretty, Bobby. Beautiful colors and stamping. :)
ReplyDeleteStunning love how you have used these flowers.
