I have so many Altenew stamps that it took me a minute to decide which one to use for their February Inspiration Challenge. I finally decided on Peony Bouquet and made this:
The card base is cream with a strip of dark gray added along the side. The flowers and leaves were stamped in Altenew inks and cut with matching dies. Here's the photo that is the inspiration.
I left off a sentiment since I couldn't decided where to put it and I don't have many anniversary stamps.
Can you believe that March is just a few short days away? Time is just flying by.

Inspired By All the Little Things #43
My Michigan crafting buddy Michele Ferguson is the guest designer at Inspired By All the Little Things so you know I HAD to make a card.
I haven't used my PTI coverplates in a while and this one looks very much like the chairs in the photo.
The pink flower from Altenew had already been stamped and was waiting for the perfect challenge and this was it. The leaves were cut in silver mirror to pay homage to the mirror in the photo.
Have a great day everyone and thanks for dropping by.

Addicted to Stamps and More #227
It time for a new challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More and this week it's Make Your Mark - use anything on your card that makes a mark. That can be markers, pencils or Zigs. I chose Zigs for my card.
The flowers are from Altenew's Adore Me and the sentiment is from MSE.
The Design Team has a lot more inspiration for you over on the blog. Why not head on over and take a look, then make a card and enter it in the gallery. We'd love to see you there.

The Card Concept #65
Fresh and Bold is the order of the day at The Card Concept.
The minute I saw the pillow in the photo I knew I wanted to use my lattice background stamp from CP. I embossed it in white and then inked it up with Raspberry Fizz. I cut my own frame using two sizes of LF stitched rectangles, added an Altenew blossom and a SSS tag with a HA sentiment. Isn't it nice that all these companies play nice together.
I had a nice long crafting day today so I'm ready for my next Design Team challenges and have a few other cards for fun.
Thanks for dropping by. I love it when you visit.

CAS(E) This Sketch #205 and Darnell's NBUS #9
This card is for CAS(E) This Sketch and Darnell's NBUS #9.
The sketch
was a little daunting until I saw this card by Kathie Durgan.
I took Kathie's idea and moved the layers to one side of my card, using vellum for the dividers. Because I'm CASEing Kathie's card with my NBUS Altenew Painted Flowers, my card is eligible for Darnell's Option 2 of NBUS Challenge 9.
Thanks for dropping by. I hope you leave a comment because I enjoy reading them.

Just Us Girls #377
Chris is our host this week at Just Us Girls for our Color challenge.
I'm not the best at color challenges but this one was rather easy. I love pink and gray together. It was just a matter of how to fit the navy in.
I can't tell you how many times I stamped the Altenew layered flower to get a good color combination. Everything looked too orange-y to me. Or darker than I wanted. I used a frame die from SSS in gray and navy and stamped the sentiment in HA Navy.
Now it's your turn to make a card using these colors. For inspiration check out the design team at Just Us Girls and guest designer Shawna Standish. If you're chosen Chic of the Week, you could be one of our guests.

CAS(E) This Sketch #204
This week's CAS(E) This Sketch is such an easy one and one that most will take literally, including me.
I stuck to my resolve to use background stamps more and used my MFT pin stripe in Fog behind my Altenew Majestic Bloom. Not wanting to cover up that gorgeous purple, I stamped and heat embossed a sentiment from HLS on vellum and cut around it. I think that's the hardest part of card making for me - where/how to put the sentiment. It looks just like the sketch doesn't it?
I'm so glad you dropped by.

Altenew January Inspiration Challenge
With all my Altenew stamps it's about time I entered their Inspiration Challenge. Here's the photo they offered.
And my card.
I just got the Adore You set and stamped several of the smaller flowers in Fossilized Amber DI. I fussy cut them along with a couple of berries? from Golden Garden. I arranged them on polka dot paper, popping some of them up, and added a sentiment from PTI embossed in white on Chocolate.
Thanks for dropping by. I hope your week is off to a great start.

Just Us GIrls # 376
I'm hosting the Trend challenge at Just Us Girls this week. I love cards I've seen with all over background stamping and that's what I've chosen for this challenge.
I used Altenew flowers with my Zigs and one of their sentiments white embossed on a black scrap.
There are so many wonderful stamps that you can use for this challenge. Check out what the design team and our guest designer Shawna Standish have done. Hopefully they will inspire you to make a card. If you do, you may be chosen as our Chic of the Week and be eligible for a guest designer spot.

Just Us Girls #374
Here's my card for Just Us Girls based on the colors chosen by our hostess, Lisa.
I used stamps from Altenew for my orchid flower and navy butterflies that have been embossed in gold and colored with Zigs. The card front looked a little plain so I cut the panel short, added a piece colored with the same Zig and a sliver of gold. The sentiment from PB is stamped in Navy and clear embossed.
The rest of the design team and our talented guest designer Teresa Gregory have some wonderful cards using these colors for your enjoyment and inspiration. We hope you are inspired to make a card for this challenge which will be our last until after the new year.

Tic Tac Toe #21 and AAA Cards #77
Amidst all the Christmas cards comes some for Thanksgiving and that's what I have for you today. This card fits both the Tic Tac Toe Challenge and the AAA Cards Challenge.
It's a PB sentiment surrounded by Altenew flowers. If you look at row 3 down, you can see I needed to add pearls and so I colored some with my Bic pen.
It's been a busy day but now it's time to sit for a while and make a couple of cards. I hope you get a little time in your craft room today.

Fusion - Chairs, The Heart Desires #5 and Addicted to CAS #98
One card, three challenges. How often does that happen?
I started with the photo for Fusion, stacking my images in similar colors
which are almost the same as those on The Heart Desires.
Addicted to CAS has a watercolor challenge and that made the final decision. Distress Inks and Altenew was all I needed plus a sentiment from MFT.
That's it for today. Thanks for dropping by.

Time Out #67 and The Flower Challenge #1
The Time Out challenge this time is for Breast Cancer Awareness. Your card should reflect the cause and/or friendship. There are extra points if you use pink and embossing so of course I had to go the extra.
The background is created with a stamp from Catherine Pooler, embossed in white, and inked with some Spun Sugar Distress Ink. The flowers are from Altenew stamped in PTI inks. I added a little bit of the Raspberry Fizz cs along the top and side edge to match the flowers. The sentiment is a freebie I got from A-Muse Studios a number of years ago called 'Fight Like a Girl'.
Did you hear there's another new challenge in blogland? This one I'm excited about because I have oodles and oodles of flower stamps. Yes, this new challenge is The Flower Challenge created by Aileen Ryan. This card will be my first entry there.
I'm glad I finally got some crafting time. I hope you get some too.

Just Us Girls #361
Hey there! Guess which week it is at Just Us Girls? If you said 'Color Week' you're right. Nancy has picked these colors for us.
I love red and black which just happen to be my school colors - and also my craft room colors. Mixing in yellow gave me pause but I worked it out. In fact now I have more yellow than red.
The stitched panel and it's accompanying scalloped panel are both from SugarPea Designs and the flowers are from Altenew.
We'd love to see you create a card using red, black and yellow plus any neutral. You have a chance to win Chic of the Week and possibly be a guest designer in November like Kathy Schweinwurth is for September. Check out Kathy's card and those of the rest of the Design Team at Just Us Girls. There's lots of inspiration waiting for you.

Less Is More #293, Altenew Blog Hop and Virginia's View #23
Less is More is asking for our favorite flower on a one-layer card. My favorite is the daisy and what better stamp to use than Altenew's Spring Daisy.
I masked and stamped the flowers with Altenew Evening Gray and colored them with Inktense pencils. I got a little carried away with the splattering. Why did it do a little on my sample but went all over the place on the actual card? One of the mysteries of life I guess. At least it gets me into Virginia's View Challenge to use spray, mist or splatter. I'm also entering it into the Altenew Blog Hop.
I'm so glad you dropped by. Please leave a comment to let me know you were here.
