Twofer Challenge #3

It's time for another Twofer Challenge. This is when you make two cards for two different occasions using the same stamp.  Sometimes it's really a challenge and sometime it just comes together.  This time the theme is "Blossoms."

I have a ton of flower stamps so it was a matter of choosing the one that could do double duty.  I called on my old faithful SSS Artful Flowers.
I started with the one on the right, stamping the blossoms in Smoke ink on Smoke paper and coloring with my  PolyChromos pencils.  I've been watching videos from Yana Smakula on coloring with them and she restamps the images after to get good details.  The MISTI works perfectly for this. The sentiment from HA is stamped with VersaFine Gray and heat embossed on linen vellum.

This set has both solid and outline images so for the other card I stamped the solid images first in Altenew Pinkalicious and Rubellite and then the outline and centers in Jet Black. I place them on a diagonal coverplate from AliExpress with a sentiment from HA.
So there you have it - a sympathy and birthday card both using the Artful Flowers.  If you haven't tried this challenge you really should.  It stretches both your stamps and your creativity.

Thanks for dropping by.

Bobby, I'm so glad that you use this stamp set so often. It reminds me that I seldom do, and then I kick myself about it! Stamped, or colored, they are both beautiful...

After seeing your Twofer, I feel the need to pull out this same stamp set, and make pretty cards like you did. They are just beautiful. The colors are gorgeous, and your designs are perfection. Love that coverplate, too!! And I think Yana would be proud of the way you've colored those blossoms! Thanks, Bobby, for joining us at the Twofer Challenge. Always a pleasure to see you in the gallery, and to visit your blog. xo Bev

You chose a perfect blossom for your pretty twofers, Bobby! I love the blossoms spread out in a cheery way for your lovely sympathy card and then cut out and clustered as a bouquet on your birthday card against the bold stripes! Two awesome designs!! Thank you so much for supporting and playing along in Twofer Card Challenge #3! Mwah! Hugs, Darnell

That's such a lovely blossom, Bobby ... one I have so I can CASE you! Your Polychromos colouring is gorgeous, the colours are delicious with the background grey ... a soft, serene sympathy card! The cool, graphic black and white die cut stripes contrast beautifully with the organic, flow-y lines of the vibrant blooms ... it's delicate and striking at the same time! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Twofer! Hugs, Anita :)
