When I make a card I usually start with the image and then decide the background but in this card for CAS(E) This Sketch I had a piece of paper the right size laying on my desk and I went from there.
In my mind that plaid meant I had to do something masculine and so I pulled out my favorite bear from EbyE and colored him and his catch with PolyChromos. I think he looks furry but I'm contemplating getting some Gamsol so I can blend colors better. The plaid is popped up on black fun foam.
As you can see, this is a retro sketch from waaaay back. I've been playing in this challenge for a long time but not quite that long since I didn't find my name in the gallery.
Thanks for dropping by.

I love how you created this scene Bobby, that's some fussy cutting on the rod! Try blending with white colour pencil once you're finished colouring, it blends everything quite well and you might not have to buy Gamsol.
Oh, this is so fun and adorable! Fabulous take on the sketch, Bobby!
Don't mess around with perfection, Bobby... I LOve him looking furry! and that plaid was indeed a perfectly masculine touch! Thanks for casting your line our way!

Super cute, love what you have done with that plaid! My hubby would really like this card, he is an avid fisherman. Although he does fly fishing on the rivers around here. I am wondering if you have opened the cottage yet.
Perfectly masculine and perfectly cute!
One of my favourite bears too, Bobby ... especially all furry as you've made him ... he's so cool with the plaid! Hugs, Anita :)
Delightful in every way! I love the dimension you created!!
I love the texture on your bear and you chose the perfect papers for a fun, masculine card! Great take on the sketch, too!
Yes we've finally opened the cottage, Judy, but haven't been up in three weeks. We are going up this weekend and then the next for the entire week of the 4th
