I'm getting ready to head to North Carolina to help my brother and sister-in-law do some clean up after Hurricane Florence. Before I go I had to make and schedule all my design team requirements and then I still had time to make a few cards for fun. I made this card for Time Out but then I saw the photo at Fusion and knew it would work there too.
First I smooshed two mixed media panels with Oxides, one in yellow and green and the other in reds, oranges, greens and yellows. When they were dry I cut the leaves from Hero Arts and heat embossed the veins in copper to match the sentiment from Catherine Pooler. I used my trusty Press 'n Seal to pick up the leaves once I had them placed where I wanted and put tape runner on them. It's such an easy way to keep everything together.
I plan to take some coloring along with me, especially since I know the The Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge starts today. I got the chance to meet Kathy at MFT in September and I love her enthusiasm for coloring and for urging us to take time to color. Even 10 minutes a day is enough and I will try to do that while I'm gone. I don't do Copic coloring so I'm taking my PolyChromos pencils . I need the practice so that will be good.
Thanks for dropping by. I truly am grateful for you and your visits.

Beautiful card, Bobby. Love all the color variations in the leaves; they look so real. So glad you had time to make this before you had to leave. Your brother and sil will surely appreciate all the help you give in the aftermath of Hurricane Florence. Drive safely and don't overdo. Sending hugs. Bev

The copper veining on these gorgeous, variegated leaves really pops and shines, Bobby ... what a fabulous frame they make for that bold, shimmery sentiment! Safe travels ... hope the clean-up goes really well. So pleased to have you playing along with us at Time Out! Hugs, Anita :)
This is so very pretty. Such a smart idea to create that beautiful background and then cut all the leaves from it. The copper embossing is a great touch. Good luck with the hurricane clean up. Thanks so much for playing along at Time Out.
Beautiful stamping! Those leaves look like they are fresh and just fallen...stunning! Thank you for joining us at TIME OUT!
Nice post. I study something tougher on totally different blogs everyday. It's going to all the time be stimulating to read content material from different writers and follow slightly something from their store. I’d favor to use some with the content material on my blog whether or not you don’t mind. Natually I’ll give you a link in your internet blog. Thanks for sharing. online casino
