The gold gave me a chance to use my Spellbinders Sweet Blooms Border hot foil plate.
Yes I jumped on that Hot Foil bandwagon and got a Glimmer machine. I wasn't going to but there are so many enablers out there and I couldn't resist, especially after getting a chance to use Bonnie's when I visited. I must tell a sad story though it has a happy ending. Not long after playing with my machine it quit working. Somehow I had the foresight to save my receipt and Spellbinders sent me a new one. I had to wait a while and have it sent to my lake address but it's here and I'm getting good use out of it. This card was made with the first machine.
I colored the flowers with Altenw artist markers, added a foiled sentiment from Spellbinders and matted the panel with gold.

Bobby... you clearly have master the glimmer! I think I am going to jump on with the next big sale. I love the results! Thank you!ReplyDelete
I'm so glad you didn't resist it any longer, Bobby - but sorry you had that issue! It's a lesson learned about saving the receipts for those big-ticket items.ReplyDelete
This foiled image is just gorgeous! Such pretty pinks for that gold!
Pretty florals along the edge of your card. My glimmer quit also and my story doesn’t end so well. Oh wellReplyDelete
You did an awesome job of foiling and coloring, Bobby! This is so elegant! Thank you for the beautiful birthday card! I LOVE those red poppies!ReplyDelete

Gorgeous! Oh no! You have gone to the dark side...LOL I am trying really hard not to give in to the pressure. Good for you for keeping the receipt. I am going to ask you in a month or so how you feel about it and see what you think. Have a great day!ReplyDelete
Oooh, you succumbed to Bonnie's enabling, eh, Bobby? I don't blame you. I saw the machine in use at the Oregon Retreat and it was amazing. Very tempting, but I'm holding off as of now. I love your beautiful coloring with all the gold and I'm glad you were able to get a replacement machine with no hassle. Hugs, DarnellReplyDelete
