Just Us Girls #699 - CASE a Designer

It's the fifth Saturday of September and that means it's our CASE the Designer challenge at Just Us Girls hosted by Vicki.  This means you are to check out the cards made by our Design Team and CASE one of them.

I saw this video by Jo Simons and wanted to try the technique.  So in this case you are CASEing a CASE although I used a different embossing folder than Jo did.  I started by inking a card panel randomly with Distress Inks in Picked Raspberry, Peacock Feathers and Fossilized Amber.   The Pressed Flowers embossing folder from Altenew was inked on the debossed side with Altenew Graphite, smoothing it out with a brayer before adding the inked panel and sending through my Big Shot.  The dark of the background really lets the other colors shine.  I hope you'll try this technique and enter your card in the challenge.

If this doesn't appeal to you, there are nine other designers with cards for you to CASE. Surely one will inspire you.

ETA: Since this is a similar technique to what the Group of Seven Cardmakers did this month, both Bonnie and Loll urged me to send my card to their gallery.

Great job on this technique, Bobby! Love how the colors pop with the black inked background! You should add this to the Group of Seven blog as it's very similar to our September technique.
