Just Us Girls #731 - Word Week

Everyone loves a celebration and now you have the chance to make a celebration card.  Our host Carol M has chosen the word celebrate for this week's Just Us Girls challenge.

I saw Kristina Werner make a fun birthday card and thought I'd CASE hers.

I used Distress Inks on watercolor paper, randomly stamping the SSS balloons.  When they were dry I added strings with a Micron pen.  The sentiment is from Big Birthday Wishes circa 2015 and is no longer available.  It's heat embossed in gold on vellum which is then wrapped around the panel and all placed on a green card base.

I made a birthday card but there are many other occasions to celebrate.  Choose one and make a card for the challenge.  Our guest Jane Taylor and the Design Team have some wonderful cards to inspire you.

Thanks for popping by the blog Bobby - the Altenew win was a lovely surprise. I love how you've put the embossed sentiment on the vellum over the busy background. It looks fab! I never know what to do with busy, backgrounds so might have to CASE you CASING Kristina!

Love the toning down that the vellum does -- sometimes it just needs to be less in your face. The large sentiment is also perfect for the many, smaller balloons! Great card and CASE

I love the way the balloons look by using the Distress Inks, totally fabulous! The gold embossed sentiment panel on the vellum was the perfect way to not distract from that amazing background.

Your distress ink balloons are such fun, especially paired with the embossed-on- vellum sentiment. Wonderful celebration card, indeed!
