Freshly Made Sketches #663

The best laid plans of card makers can turn mid-crafting and that's what happened with my card for Freshly Made Sketches.

When I got the Heaven's Gift stamp from Penny Black my idea was to emboss in gold and watercolor the image.  Instead I stamped in black, clear heat embossed and colored with Zigs.  This one was rather dark so I make a second version, since two images fit on one card panel.

I used almost the same color Zigs but washed them lightly over the image.  The sentiment is from the set and the background strips are from a Honey Bee paper pack.  I took a little creative license with the sketch.  You'll have to go to Freshly Made Sketches to see which one I entered in their gallery.

Thanks for dropping by.

Both cards are beautiful with that true image of Christmas. I kind of like the dark one better.

This is so pretty, Bobby. And I bet it was really fun to color, beautiful clean and simple Christmas card. Happy Thanksgiving, my friend!

Agreed - both are beautiful, and I rather like the both but the darker, bolder image stands out to me!
