Color Hues #102

I missed the deadline for the last Color Hues.  I'm not going to let that happen again.  Here's my card in navy and lime green.

The first thing I thought of was my Honey Bee dragonflies.  I stamped one on lime vellum, heat embossed it and cut it out along with another in Gina K's Key Lime cardstock.  I was trying to figure out what coverplate to use and found the navy one already cut but none of the holes were punched out.  I must have gotten lazy and just put it aside for another time.  This was the time.  After poking them out, I attached the panel to a green one.  It looked rather plain so I added Penny Black's Ascending die.  I couldn't see a good way to add a sentiment so it's going without.

I'm so glad you stopped by.  Have a wonderful weekend.

Your choice of the dragonfly is perfect, and is simply awesome on the navy background! When a card looks like this, no words are necessary

I love the way the lime green peeks through the navy background and the dragonfly and leaves show beautifully on top. This looks so pretty in the Color Hues gallery, Bobby!

Sometimes leaving the sentiment for the inside works just as well. Great take on our colors and I love that cool coverplate! Well done! Thank you for taking the time to join us at Color Hues and I am glad you didn't miss this deadline.

Bobby, I would have never guessed that the greenery wasn't already part of your design, it works so perfectly with the lovely dragon fly. And that background, what a great find and it looks wonderful with the green peeking through from underneath. I'm so glad you didn't miss this deadline and shared your beautiful navy and lime green card over at Color Hues!
