If you haven't stenciled with powdered inks, this month's challenge at CAS Mix-Up is the perfect time to give it a try. Loll has a couple of videos on the blog to help you along.
I don't have a ton of stencils with large openings that would make a good card but I did find this one from Taylored Expressions called Zinnia. I think of orange when I think of Zinnias so I got out my orange Brusho and had a go. It is recommended to put your watercolor (or mixed media) panel on an acrylic block to make it easier to remove the stencil. This was my third try at getting the right amount of powder with the right amount of water but it turned out great. Ivory cardstock was cut with Lawn Fawn's Scalloped Circle. I had a boo boo where I stamped the Altenew sentiment so I stamped another one and cut it with an oval die to put over the top.
I even got a reverse stencil panel with the leftovers. You can see the card I made with it here.
I hope you'll join us at CAS Mix-Up this month. The design team has some wonderful cards made with powders and stencils to inspire you.
