Freshly Made Sketches #690

Karren has a rather universal sketch for us at Freshly Made Sketches which means an easy one to use any of our stamps and dies to make a card.  I went with one of my newer sets.

It's Coastal Escape View from Spellbinders.  The sea was colored with what else but Salty Ocean Distress Ink that was spritzed and blotted.  The fish, seaweed and coral were colored with other various DIs.  The porthole and strip are gold foil and the background is embossed with SB's Corrugated and Castaway folders.  I don't have a sentiment with me that fits, nor do I have a printer to make my own so that will be added later.

Thanks for dropping by.  Enjoy your day!

Can You Handle the Pressure? Twist with F

It's a good thing my friends play in a lot of different challenges.  Without them I'd probably forget about them.  Two friends recently played in Can You Handle the Pressure? and that inspired me to do the same.

And I used the twist of the letter "F" for fishing lures.  They are from Honey Bee and my required embossing folder is Castaway from Spellbinders on a panel cut with HB's deckle edge. Lots of scraps were used for the lures and the hooks were cut from black foil.  The sentiment is from their Hook, Line and Sinker set.  It was fun choosing colors and a design layout.

Thanks for taking the time to visit.

Freshly Made Sketches #644 and Can You Handle the Pressure?

Would  you believe that I didn't bring any patterned paper with me to the lake?  Kim's sketch at Freshly Made Sketches was perfect for some but I had to go in a different direction.

The panel was masked and inked with Peacock Feathers Distress Ink, using varying pressure to get the stripes.  It was then embossed with the Castaway folder from Spellbinders.  This was made to show off the Lures from Honey Bee, cut from scraps of colored paper, with the hooks cut from black foil cardstock from C9.  I didn't bring my sentiments that go with the lures so that will have to go on later.

Can You Handle the Pressure? has the option of stripes so I'm sending my card to them too, although you don't have to use the option, only an embossing folder.
