Jen T's sketch at Freshly Made Sketches gave me the perfect excuse to use some of the patterned paper that's taking up space in my craft room.

Color Hues #111 - Coral and Green
Finally! A color challenge with green so I don't have to make funny colored leaves. 😬 Thank you, Sheri, and Color Hues.
Thanks for visiting. And double thanks if you left a comment.

Double D - Red
I saw the roses on the mood board at Double D and knew I had the perfect thing in my Bits box.
The background from MFT was stamped in red on kraft. This was something I did at Michele's eons ago and it sat in my box waiting for just the right challenge. Penny Black's Classy Frames was cut from red twice, stacked and laid back into the panel over the roses. A scrap was platinum heat embossed with sentiment from The Greetery and die cut to fit. I wish I had embossed the red panel but didn't think of it until after it was glued.
Thanks for dropping by. Have a wonderful weekend.

Inkspirational #312
Hey there. I'm so glad you dropped by for a visit.
All white cards are a challenge but they can look stunning when you have the right products to use. Inkspirational is looking for white on white cards and I took on the challenge. I'm not sure how stunning my card is but I'm happy with it.

Just Us Girls #686 - Color Week
Elizabeth would like you to use only pastel colors on your card for Just Us Girls this week.
I look forward to seeing all the pretty pastels in our gallery this week. Need inspiration? There is plenty to be had from our design team and guest Kristin Sluhan.

Color Throwdown #745 and NBUS #51
I'm happy that my play time with new dies the other day fit the colors at Color Throwdown.
I have been wanting a lemon/lime die set and settled on the one from Lawn Fawn. I cut them all from Bristol cardstock and colored them with Altenew inks. The plaid background is an embossing folder from Spellbinder. I didn't bring any fun/punny sentiments with me but I do need an anniversary card and thought I'd write the punny part inside. I white heat embossed the sentiment from Hero Arts and colored it with the same ink as the leaves.
I'm also sending my card to NBUS since the die is new.

Freshly Made Sketches #539
The sketch at Freshly Made Sketches was an easy one for me and I think it took about half an hour to make this card.
Thanks for dropping by. I love it when you do.

The Three R's
This card started as a leftover. I had the pink cardstock printed on the front for another card I didn't use. I added the coordinating print to cover it up and then was stuck. This challenge was just what I needed to finish it.
I'm not much of a rosette person but I thought it fit in well with this card. I made it from the same pink cardstock then added the heart cut from George and Basic Shapes. I ran a ribbon down one of the stripes and put rhinestones on all the aqua colored dots. Sometimes things just come together.

Anniversary card #1
There were 3 holes on the bird's body and I filled 2 on each with varying sizes of tanish pearls. I wasn't sure about how to do the sentiment and it ended up this way as a mistake. I printed the sentiment on the computer but didn't leave enough space around it. I didn't realize this when I ran it through the Cuttlebug with a Nestability oval die. This is the shape that came out and it seemed to fit so I hand cut the tan to go under it. There are no mistakes, just happy accidents. :)
I only had time to enter one challenge this week. I'm hoping that this next week is easier and I can get to my paper stash more often. My Cricut Design Studio is still not working and I miss it. I would like to do some shaped cards and need DS to weld. At least I have my new Expression. I can do more things with it than my personal Cricut (I love how the actual cut shows on the screen) and so I'll plug along. Maybe one more phone call will resolve the CDS issue.
