Happy Little Stampers Christmas - September

Another month has flown by and it's time for September's challenge at Happy Little Stampers Christmas.
Of course I had to do the twist.
I have this layered tree stamp from HA and wanted to see how it would work with my Puff embossing powder to add snow to the branches.  I loved how it looked but then I had to figure a way to display it.  I watercolored around the edge of the tree and cut it with a scalloped oval from MFT.  I knew I wanted a plaid background, something soft to bring out that sky so I used my C9 plaid background and stamped it in Sea Glass and Frayed Leaf  from Altenew.  The sentiment is from the same HA set stamped on a banner from LF.

The Design Team has cards for your inspiration and we look forward to seeing what you make for our challenge this month.  The winner will receive a $20 voucher to HLS which will be doubled if HLS stamps are used.

Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge - June

It's time for the Happy Little Stampers Christmas challenge for June.  You can see it's an Anything Goes with the optional twist of 'Joy'.  I always have to do the twist.
This looks much better IRL since the sentiment is actually silver embossed.  I didn't quite know how to attach the linen vellum so I sewed it on and for a seamstress I didn't do a very good job by not checking the tension or stitch length before I started.  The sentiment is from CF and the DSP is from American Crafts.

The winner of this challenge will get a $20 voucher to the Happy Little Stampers store so I hope you'll join me and the rest of the Design Team in making a card.

Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge - April

A new month and a new challenge at Happy Little Stampers for their Christmas Challenge.
If you know me at all, you know I have to go for the twist and I must admit it was not that easy this time.  I had the song "Deck the Halls" in my head and it wouldn't go away until I made a holly card.
I'm not real happy with this and I think it's the largeness of the plaid background.  I had another plaid panel that I tried but it was the wrong color and not my stamp so I couldn't recreate it.  I love this Concord and 9th plaid on other cards and since it was all I had to work with I went with it.  The holly is from CPD, stamped on a die from AliExpress and colored with Inktense pencils.  The sentiment - the driving force behind the card - is from MFT.

Now you must remember that you do NOT have to use the twist on your anything goes Christmas card.  Get a head start on your stash and make a card for this month's challenge.  The winner will receive a $20 coupon to spend at the HLS shop. If you are the random draw and you used a HLS stamp, the prize will be doubled.

We'd love to see yours in the gallery.
