Just Us Girls #813 - Die Week

Sue is the host for Die Week at Just Us Girls and this time she has a specific topic.

She wants you to include either something green, something referring to luck or maybe a combination of both while using your dies.

I want to welcome Milla as our guest designer for the month of March.  Be sure to stop by her blog at Mustesormi to see her wonderful coloring.

I smooshed a panel with Rustic Wilderness, Mowed Lawn and Bundled Sage Distress Oxides and cut it with Penny Black's Classy Frames.  Their Ascending die was colored with Distress Spray in Rustic Wilderness and they were both splattered in gold paint from Altenew.  The frame was cut three more times, once in gold and layered around the panel.  The gold embossed sentiment is from Honey Bee's Gently Squeezed.

There are a lot of greens and die cuts over on the Just Us Girls blog post to inspire you.  We hope to see you in our gallery.

I'm also sending this to Color Hues for their green and gold challenge.

Just Us Girls #797 - Mood Board Week

This is Mood Board Week at Just Us Girls and our host Carol wants you to be inspired by this:

Here's a larger view.

The board is full of lovely Fall colors and lots of little images to pull from.  This is the direction I took.

My new Penny Black Ascending die looked somewhat like the leaves in the photo so I watercolored them with Distress Inks in Fossilized Amber, Evergreen Bough and Rusty Hinge.  Then I went looking for matching paper to add some interest to the side -  SB light yellow, C9 Spiced Cider and an unswatched aqua along with a main panel of Gina K Moonlit Fog.  The background was embossed with a Honey Bee burlap folder for a rustic look.

Our guest designer Greta and the rest of the team have some wonderful cards to inspire you to enter the challenge.  I hope to see you there.
