Color Throwdown #840 and NBUS #78

My NBUS Freshly Picked Dies from Concord and 9th were perfect for the challenge at Color Throwdown.

Isn't this just the cutest basket of apples.  And what's even cuter is the fact the sentiment from the add on stamp set is included.  See that "pick me" on the top apple?  If you pull it, you get this.

Everything was cut from colored cardstock with a little shading and the basket was splattered.  The MFT Wonky Rectangle die was edged with some Mustard Seed DI to add more yellow.

Since this was the first outing for this die set, I'm sending it to Darnell's NBUS but also to her IDEAS since it's Die Week.

I'm glad you dropped by.  I love your visits and your comments.

Inspired By #189

I recently got back from my summer at the lake and have spent the last two days unpacking and reorganizing my craft room.  I took two bins of stamps and dies to work with and ended up buying a few more during that time.  Since I had to put it all away and make room for the new I decided a redo was necessesary.  Now I have a fresh start to make cards for the Fall and Winter seasons.

There are so many choices for the Inspired By challenge this week.  I was fixated on the Christmas photo but couldn't seem to make something come together.  I looked at the sketch and an idea popped into my head.  It's actually a fusion of the All the Peels photo and the sketch.

I already had the apples from Sunny Studio stamped so that made the card even easier to make.  I was going to use the dome die from Waffle Flower for a basket but when I pulled it out I saw the little wood strip dies that I knew would make an even better basket or box. The gray piece was something in my Bits bin. I glued the slats onto copy paper and trimmed it to size.  One piece was used for the sentiment from Altenew.  The background is Rustic Linen cs from Papertrey Ink embossed with a folder from Lawn Fawn.  The photos are below.  Maybe they'll inspire you to make a card.

Thanks for dropping by.  You know I'd love for you to leave a comment.

Inspired By - Fall Picnic

This photo caught my attention
and this is the resulting card for Inspired By.
A couple of embossing folders, my Sunny Studio apples and some plaid paper from my stash was all it took to begin my Thanksgiving cards.  Sentiment courtesy of PTI.

Thanks for dropping by.

Addicted to CAS #119

Doni is our host at Addicted to CAS this week and she chose the code word
I had to resort to a digital image for my apples since I didn't have any stamps.
I colored the image with Zigs and computer generated the sentiment.

Our sponsor for this challenge is Create a Smile.  They are offering a $15 gift certificate to their store.  In order to win you need to make a Clean and Simple card and link it up to the gallery.  Need some inspiration?  Check out what the Design Team have made to inspire you.
