CAS(E) This Sketch #221

I have a quick and simple card for CAS(E) This Sketch, turning the sketch upside down.
A little cork, some ancient PTI paper with an equally ancient note punch for the top, and some enamel dots to represent push pins fill the bill.  The sentiment is from PB.
This one will go into my masculine file.

Thanks for dropping by.

MUSE #40

Life has been busy and I haven't posted in a while but I just HAD to enter the MUSE challenge since lovely Darnell is the guest muse this week.  Here is her wonderful card which is an homage to breast cancer awareness.

I was inspired by the colors and the floral design.

I used PTI's Meadow Greens for the flower, stamped in Spun Sugar Distress Ink and Hero Arts Soft Leaf.  The sentiment is from PTI's Healing Touch.  I used an EKSuccess border punch on a scrap of green and threaded pink ribbon through it.  This card base was in my stash with a funky border on it, so I cut if off and voila' it was perfect for this card.  The top of the card is actually narrower than the bottom by the width of the white edge you see.  In other words, the green border is the edge of the top of the card.  It looks a lot darker in the photo but is exactly the same color as the stamping IRL.

I hope I can get back to some regular crafting and posting.  We'll see but until then, Happy Crafting to you all.

Retro CASual Addiction

Three challenges, two cards, one busy lady.

Card #1 is for CASual Fridays and Addicted to CAS.

Most bloggers did a traditional red, white and blue for Memorial Day card.  I knew I'd never have a reason to send a card like that so chose a different path.  I found this cute paper in my Soho Gardens 6 x 6 pack and knew it would make a great card.  The banner is from SSS and the stamp from PTI, done in Hero Arts pale tomato.

Card #2 is for Retro Sketches.

It took me a while to decide on a paper for this card but in flipping through my 6 x 6 packs I ran across this one and loved it.  The black background is embossed with Swiss Dots to give it the look of some of the images on the paper even though not much of it shows. It has a white core so the dots show up more than they would on a plain black. The little triangles are from my new Tiny Triangles stamps from PTI.  I liked the look of the little lines in it but now looking at it, I wish I had outlined it with a black shadow.  Both the white layer and the triangles are popped up on foam tape.  The sentiment is a new one from PTI and stamped in Hero Arts tide pool.

Thanks for stopping by to visit.  I hope you have a wonderful day.
